Swaledale Fire Department receives grant for LED flashlights

Swaledale Fire Department received a $1,152 grant for LED flashlights from the Farm Credit Services of America’s Working Here Fund.

Swaledale purchased each member of their fire department an LED flashlight to attach to their turnout coat with the grant. The flashlights allow firefighters better visibility during rescues, particularly grain bin rescues. The flashlights will help to illuminate the area during rescues in low-light conditions.

Swaledale Fire Department is one of 77 organizations to receive a Working Here Fund grant in the first quarter of 2017.
